Which Lash Treatment Is Right For Me?

Lash Boost Serum vs. Lash Tinting vs. Lash Lift vs. Lash Extensions - Understanding the difference and choosing the best treatment for YOUR lashes!

Eyelashes frame our eyes, define their shape, and enhance our eye color. Longer, darker lashes give the appearance of larger, more attractive youthful eyes. Regardless of how long or thick your lashes naturally are, there is a treatment to enhance them!

If you have naturally short or sparse lashes:

Eyelash Serum

*Perfect for those who want to boost the length, strength, and thickness of their natural lashes. A nice low-maintenance, daily at-home application.

What it does:

This nightly eyelash-conditioning serum features a unique proprietary formula that improves the appearance of lash volume and length for lashes that are 100% real, 100% yours. In weeks, you’ll be wondering if you need mascara at all.

Maintenance Level:

A tube will last 5+ months. I say 5+ because typically, my tubes last 6 months or more for myself - BUT, because the serum is exposed to air every time you open and apply it, it does degrade after 5 months so you may see less efficacy after that. You just apply the serum to the upper lash line at night - you'll see results in as little as 4 weeks, and maximum results at 8 weeks. Note: You can also apply this serum to your brows to enhance their thickness and growth!

Not inexpensive at $120 / tube, but definitely the lowest maintenance, highest impact option for growing your own amazing lashes. This stuff really works, and as I've been using it I've noticed it's giving my lashes a natural curl at the outer corners - I don't have to use a lash curler anymore.

If you want to darken your natural lashes:

Lash Tint

*Perfect for those who already have medium or long length, light-colored natural lashes.

What it does:

A Lash Tint is an application of a vegetable-based color - usually a deep black tint to the upper and lower lashes. The tint needs to process for about 10-15 minutes, during which time I give a super relaxing scalp and neck massage (or arms/hands/feet if you prefer). Then, I gently rinse your lashes, and viola!

Maintenance Level:

Results typically last 4-6 weeks. If you are a swimmer, or are going on a vacation where you'll be in the ocean with your lashes getting wet, it might fade a little sooner. Pairs beautifully with a Brow Tint (as pictured) that will darken your brows and save you time penciling or filling them in! A Lash Tint service typically takes 20 minutes or less.

Lash Tint = $25

Brow Tint = $15

Both = $35

If you want to curl AND darken your natural lashes:

Lash Lift with Tint

*Perfect for those who have medium or long natural lashes, and want to add curl and darkness to lashes.

What it does:

A Lash Lift is essentially a perm for your lashes, and gives the appearance of longer, thicker, darker lashes. This treatment can completely replace the use of mascara and lash curler. The treatment is approximately 60 minutes, and includes relaxing massages for scalp, neck, arms, and feet while the different steps process, and is finished with a Keratin treatment to condition and strengthen lashes. Also available without the tint for those who have naturally dark lashes.

Maintenance Level:

Results typically last from 6-8 weeks. The tint will fade between 4-6 weeks. Your lashes will continue to grow, shed, and produce new lashes, so you will notice your lash line slowly "straightening" as your new un-curled lashes grow. I recommend scheduling your Lash Lift with Tint every 6 weeks to maintain great results.

Lash Lift with Tint: $80

Lash Lift (no tint): $65

If you want longer, thicker lashes instantly:

Lash Extensions

*Perfect for those who have naturally short, sparse lashes, and want instant results without having to use mascara or a lash curler. Great for beach vacations, weddings, and everyday wear!

What it does:

An individual soft synthetic lash is bonded with professional grade adhesive to your own natural lash, one single lash at a time (upper lashes only). Eyelash extensions increase the length and width of the natural lash. The need for mascara and an eyelash curler is eliminated completely!

Imagine waking up and loving what you see in the mirror. You can hike, run, or just go to the grocery store and know that you look effortlessly fabulous—and never any smudged mascara to worry about.

Every set of Lash Extensions is customized for YOU - some people prefer a very subtle natural-looking set, and some want a higher-impact more dramatic look. Most clients get black lash extensions, but I also have brown (for redheads), and every color of the rainbow for those who want to play with different hues.

Since your lashes are constantly growing, shedding, and replacing themselves, the Lash Extensions will grow out and shed with your natural lashes, therefore requiring maintenance called "Lash Fills" to fill in the gaps of lost lashes. I recommend every 2-3 weeks for your fill appointments to keep your lash line looking full and lush. Fills typically take 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how many new lashes you have, and how many lashes you have shed (most clients take what I call a "lash nap" and catch up on some Zzzz's while I do the fill, it can be very relaxing!). Those with Lash Extensions will need to avoid using oils or oily products around their eyes as this degrades the adhesive and can cause premature shedding of the extensions.
